NEXUM Architects has moved to its new 800 m² studio in Şişli, Istanbul, in line with its growing team and expanding project portfolio. The new space is conceived not just as an office, but as a physical expression of our design culture.
The Principle Shaping the Space: Transparency
Instead of closed executive offices, we chose an open layout where everyone shares the same floor. Making design decisions visible and debatable accelerates learning within the team.
Spaces Built for Making
At the heart of the studio is a model workshop that brings together digital and hand fabrication. Our team continues to think through three-dimensional models alongside the screen.
- Flexible project desks suited to simultaneous collaboration
- Model studio equipped with CNC and 3D printing
- Material library and sample wall
- Modular meeting rooms for client presentations
“The architecture of a studio quietly shapes the architecture produced within it.”
A Sustainable Interior
In designing our own office, we applied the principles we recommend to our clients: low-VOC materials, a high proportion of natural light and recycled furniture. The space is a daily proof of the values we advocate.
The Period Ahead
The new studio expands both our capacity and our modes of collaboration. We will keep growing our team for larger-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
